Jerry Sloan, Man of Chicago, Resigns

Posted on February 10, 2011

Jerry Sloan is out after 23 years with the Utah Jazz. His crowning achievements as coach were back-to-back Finals appearances in the late 1990s against his former team, the Bulls. Sloan averaged 14 points in an 11-season NBA career. The circumstances of his resignation seem messy, but hopefully, he will be remembered for the great tenure that preceded it.
